Shipping and Handling
Discount Cycles Direct will despatch your order within 24 hours if we have the products you have selected in stock, we normally do. If a product is out of stock we will email or phone you to discuss the likely delivery time or an alternative product.
All purchases are despatched bypost or courier and will normally be delivered to you within 48 hours of despatch. When your order is despatched we will advise by email.
All goods are carefully packed and shipped as soon as they are available to fulfil your order.
Delivery
FREE postage to Mainland UK addresses on all orders totalling over £35.00.
A flat rate delivery charge of £5.00 will be added to orders totalling £35.00 or less.
Complete bicycles will be supplied in the manufacturers packaging along with full guarantee and assembly instructions.
You will be entirely responsible for the safe assembly of all products purchased from us, we recommend that if you are in any doubt about the safe assembly of a cycle, please consult your local cycle specialist.
If you have any specific delivery instructions (i.e.: boxes only, no pallets) please let us know and we will do all we can to accommodate them. Please note - if you instruct delivery to be made without a signature this will be at your own risk.
As a security measure we reserve the right not to deliver goods to an address that is not the cardholder's address.
Priority delivery
There is the option of priority delivery on both bicycles and accessories, this service costs extra and can be requested via email at the time of purchase.
Back Orders
If any of your ordered items are not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the details to ensure that you are kept up to date with the progress of your order.
Returns Policy
Discountcyclesdirect.co.uk comply with the distance selling
regulations which protect the consumer when buying by mail order. We offer a
returns policy which enables you to return items which do not fit, or which are
damaged or faulty upon receipt, as long as they are returned in their original
packaging.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the product(s) you have bought
from us, please return them to us in the original packaging and in an
unfitted/unused resaleable condition within 14 days of receipt. Returns
cannot be arranged by Discountcyclesdirect.co.uk, it is the responsibility of
the customer to arrange any returns. We
recommend using recorded delivery or registered post to protect yourself from
loss or damage in the post or caused by the carrier.
Please also enclose a letter explaining why you wish to return the product(s),
and we will refund your card as soon as we receive your returned order.
For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to
arrange and pay for the return of the products to us using standard Royal Mail
recorded post or a courier as dictated by the size of package.
If delivery from Discountcyclesdirect.co.uk is refused or cannot be made due
to the absence of the customer, re-delivery will be chargeable.
As Discountcyclesdirect.co.uk do not charge postage to send items out, all returns
except faulty goods will be subject to a restocking fee of £3. For faulty items,
the cost of returned postage will be refunded to you.
Buying/Returning Shoes
When purchasing shoes from our website, please ensure that you know exactly what size you need from the specific manufacturer that you're looking to buy as they do vary from company to company. For example the Diadora shoes that we supply come up quite small and we'd suggest going for a size bigger than you usually wear. Any shoes that are purchased incorrectly and returned will be refunded, however as we operate a postage paid policy we will subtract the initial postage cost that we incurred from the price you paid.
Custom Built Items
Custom built bikes and wheels are made up to your specific requirements and as such are not covered by our normal refund and exchange policy, we are not obliged to refund on custom built items. Should you want to return custom built items to us, a restocking fee will be levied to cover the cost of labour during the build, unless the item is faulty. This will typically be £15 in the case of wheels, and £60 in the case of an entire bike.
Faulty goods
All goods purchased from us are covered by the manufacturers warranty, typically 1 year but this may be longer on certain items. These warranties normally cover manufacturing defects and not any damage resulting from crashes, abuse, wear and tear or incorrect assembly. If you feel a product is faulty please contact us in the first instance to discuss what, if anything, can be done to rectify the problem with out the need for return postage costs.
To return any products to us, please:
- Contact us by email to tell us whether you want an Exchange or Refund.
- We recommend that you obtain proof of posting since we cannot be responsible for packages lost in transit.
- Pack the items safely, enclose the invoice and send it back to the address given in email correspondence.
